I would like to reuse Smart card implementation on AM1808 for AM335x.

Current driver implementation required McASP Serializer .

I have to use McASP port for another purpose.

Is it possible to use another serial port (UART/McSPI) for rx/tx serialization?

What is complicity to make this changes?

What changes should be done?

Hi Yuri,

Changing to another serial port would require the PRU firmware to be re-architected. There may also be issues achieving baud rates or other timing relationships required by the ISO7816 (smart card) protocol.

Also, a word of caution—the AM18x smart card implementation was only validated with one type of smart card. There could be interoperability issues with different types of smart cards.
