Hi,

I've finished my custom board based on the TMS320C6748. Is there any documentation on how I go about setting up the proper target configuration, GEL files, board library etc? What files and configurations are needed? Does CCS support the concept of board library projects (like LPCExpresso from NXP (also Eclipse based))?
How is the startup code handled? I do not want to use starterware directly, but only base my custom library on it. Does that mean that I've to provide my own start up code?

Hi Remco,

ccsv5/ccs_base/emulation/boards/evmc6748/gel/C6748.gel

Change your DDR settings (SDCR) for your DDR part in C6748 gel file and try to load DSP hello world program.

Hi,

I've created a new project without any GEL file and I can run (and see output) of hello world.

Am I correct in assuming that the GEL file is the emulation equivalent of the set-up otherwise performed by AIS gen?

I'll try to correctly set-up the GEL file as you said and test it using a DDR test application.

Is it possible to use StarterWare as a library project in my workspace so I can modify it and recompile it easily?

Yes, You can use starterware and CSL example packages as well.

When you want to flash your app into any media then you may need bootloader stuffs with AIS header.
