Questions about PRU driver SUART_FIFO_TIMEOUT_DELT.

Thanks for your post.

The function "pru_set_fifo_timeout" set the timeout (in ms), PRU waits for timeout duration once receiving a

character, before it raises timeout interrupt. Please check sections 6.2.2  & 6.2.20 (pru_softuart_clrRxFifo)

In general, Soft UART's FIFO timeout is configurable at module init and for more info., please refer the below wiki section for running the Soft-UART's sample applicatio:

From the above wiki, please check step2 as below:

Insert the suart_emu.ko module to load the firmware and provide access to the Soft-UARTs.  The suart_timeout parameter can be set at this time (default of 5ms).

root@am180x-evm:~# modprobe suart_emu suart_timeout=<timeout in ms>
