Logic PD ZOOM OMAP-L138 Experimenter Kit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, OMAP-L138

Hello,

I am working with a Logic PD OMAP L138 Zoom Experimenter Kit board and I was trying to compile the Audio_ExampleProject for the DSP C6748 from the mcsdk_1_01_00_02 package. This board has an xds100v1 JTAG emulator, meaning that it is suitable only for DSP applications and not the ARM processor.

On a previous post, I was told that the ARM holds the DSP in reset and whenever I want to run an application for the DSP I have to connect first to the ARM, which will then wake up the DSP. How do I do that with this board if I don't have the suitable emulator? I know I can buy an extension with the xds100v2 emulator, but I can hardly believe that Logic PD would build such a board without knowing this.

I have tried to run an audio example from Donald Reay's book, "Digital Signal Processing and Applications with the OMAP - L138 eXperimenter" and I was able to generate a sine wave for the DSP and hear it as well, but the program didn't function well, as it only once jumped into the interrupt loop. (This contradicts what I was told, that the ARM holds the DSP ib reset).

Is there any package I can use for the configuration of this board, that I can use?

Regards,

L.S.
