OMAPL137 BOOT STEPS

Hello Guys,

Am new to TI family and am using OMAPL137. Please do let me know how exactly OMAPL137 boots up.

I mean to say how exactly which core wakes up first up .
Does dsp core wakes up first or arm core??
Can u please let me know the steps involved for the booting mechanism??

Hi Naveen,

In OMAPL137, DSP core wake up first and then in-turn it will wake up ARM core.

Have a look at the bootloader app notes for complete information on the booting mechanism

Hi Shankari,
Thanks for quick reply. I will definitely go through the datasheet and get more details on the same. Can you please provide me the link where i can find sample code and examples which can be implemented on OMAPL137. Am planning to try to FIR and FFT algorithms and i really don't know how accurate the results will be!! Can you please give me your inputs about different algorithms which can be implemented on OMAPL??

Hi Shankari,
Thanks for your quick reply. can you please provide me the link for OMAPL137 boot loader sample code?? I will be using only DSP core and i will be disabling the ARM9 core. So, any link which will give me the code to wake up the DSP core and start functioning ??

Hi,
In OMAPL137, you no need to shut down anything, already ARM its in reset state, it won't wakeup until you enable through DSP.
So as Shankari has given wikis more than sufficient to do that.
