For TMS320C6746 and TLV320AIC10

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6746, TLV320AIC10, OMAPL138

1, TMS320C6746 and TLV320AIC10 or can be connected?

2, In the case of 1, Is it possible with McBSP interface?

3, If you want to the TMS320C6746 is SPI boot,
Is there a recommended product of SPI-Flash ROM?

Best Regards,

Kitada

  • Hi Kitada,

3, If you want to the TMS320C6746 is SPI boot,
Is there a recommended product of SPI-Flash ROM?

OMAPL138 LogicPD and OMAPL138 spectrum digital Inc EVM uses SPI flash so you can check those schematics for SPI part no and get the same or equivalent.

I have checked that schematic and found "W25X64VSFIG" SPI part.
Please refer to the OMAPL138 bootloader to know more about SPI flash boot.
PS: you have to use 24bit addressing and SPI flash device must be 0x03.

2, In the case of 1, Is it possible with McBSP interface?

    Yes, OMAPL138 supports McBSP interface.

    I hope TLV320AIC10 supports McBSP.

We have example code also for McBSP demonstrating on OMAPL138.

  • Dear Titus san

    Thank you answer.

    I'm sorry in additional questions.

Please tell me how to implement the configuration of the CODEC side from the DSP side.

Use the FC pin, register write and read using the data line for Audio
    If also be performed.

    1,
Is it supposed to be driven by a GPIO from the DSP side?

    2,
Please tell me the proper way (connection method, etc.).

    Best Regards,
    Kozo
