We are a telecom company and have been using TI 64xx DSPs for years. But we are moving to cloud based DSP functions so for our older TDM linecards we still need a method to convert cloud voice packets to TDM serial. The AM1808 looks like a very good choice with compatible HPI16 bus port, McBSP will handle 128 TDM channels, EMAC, etc.
Other Sitara processors with McASP only seem to support up the 32 channels. We need 128 channel capability that only McBSP seems to provide.
So what is the project life of the AM1808? Will it be available until 2022? Does anyone make a hardware eval kit for this processor? Any other processor options? Thanks for the info....
