OMAP-L138: AINTC Interrupt Nesting

The FIQ and IRQ channels are handled the same way by the ARM, but they allow the user application to software map their system interrupts to high priority (FIQ) or low priority (IRQ). Then they can disable all low priority interrupts (IRQ) while keeping the high priority interrupts (FIQ) enabled.

For the channel priority modes, our understanding is as follows:

Method 1: Prioritized across both FIQ and IRQ channels
Example: Interrupt priority 8 is received on IRQ. Then only priorities 1-7 can be detected by either FIQ or IRQ.

Method 2: Prioritized by individual FIQ/IRQ channel
Example: Interrupt priority 8 is received on IRQ. Only priorities 1-7 can be detected by IRQ. FIQ can still detect any priority.

Thank you for your reply.
The Host Interrupt Mapping of Channel of OMAP - L 138 is fixed. So I think that method 1 and method 2 you presented will be the same behavior.
Is my thinking correct?
