CCS: LP8765RLE PMU

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi

I met some problems when using LP8765RLE.The cpu is OAMPL132.

The CPU's reset pin(K14) connect to the PMU's rstout  pin (F4)The CPU's reset pin state is IPU(internal Pullup resistor),and the PMU resetout pin is DO type,so i don't use the external Pullup resistor. The system could not boot .I add a 10K external Pullup resistor, the system can normal boot. The PMU  must use external Pullup resistor?

Thanks & Best Regards!

  • Hi,

I do NOT have the datasheet of LP8765RLE, so I cannot confirm whether its RSTOUT_N (F4) requires an external pullup or not.
For the description on RESET (K14) in OMAP-L138, see Section 6.4.1 Power-On Reset (POR) & Section 6.4.2 Warm Reset of the device Data Manual. Also refer to the reference lcdk design, you can see that there is no pullup between TPS3707-33DR & the SoC.

    Best Regards,
