I am working on a biomedical research project on my own, i.e., individually. I am IoT Engineer. I am a newbee in OMAPL138 board and applications. I want some good resources related to coding, Interfacing inputs and outputs etc. It will be really helpful if anyone can suggest a github repository for reference.

I am speculating that you are not interested in the -EP version.

OMAPL138 is currently supported using OMAPL138 LCDK hardware. Refer to the link for details on the evaluation platform and features.

for software, you currently have many software options to choose from depending on your OS requirements.

The good news for you is that since, you are starting new development on this device, we plan to refresh the software for this platform to add latest Mainline Linux Kernel support and Latest RTOS support with drivers for the DSP by adding this device to our Processor SDK offering that will be available at the end of the month.

Hello Rahul Prabhu Sir,
Can you suggest small Applications with code and step by step instructions or some book for experimenting with the board such as generating Sine wave, filtering a audio signal, serial communication between OMAPL138 and PC etc.

If you can wait until 2q17, we are having a full software refresh with all the features that you are looking for supported with latest TI RTOS, CCS and Mainline Linux support with LCDK hardware.

Rahul,
Do you have a better Idea when this "refresh" will take place? I have recently picked up the TMDSLCDK138 and would like some more clear resources on how to start writing application to run on the Linux on the Arm processor along with with some application running on the DSP. This is my first time using the OMAPL138 and I having a hard time understanding how to start developing for it.

The Processor SDK Linux for this platform is planned to release on ti.com at the end of 2Q17.

Currently the software supported for this platform is packaged in MCSDK1.1. The download and Documentation links are provided below.

We are waiting for some internal approvals/sign offs from system test and licensing to be completed to put the release on the WEB. The release data for the current release is now being tracked for early next week.

We already have the migration guide published here, which should give you preview of what will be in the release:

The easiest way for you to get a notification when the release is available is to subscribe to updates using the "ALert Me" option on ti.com software product folder as shown here.

I downloaded the Linux LCDK. Size is around 238 MB. But I found that this is an image file, name of the file: "omapl138-lcdk-linux-04.00.00.04.img". How to get SDK in CCS v7. Also, I am not getting OMAPL138 in TI resource explorer. How to get OMAP L138 in Resource explorer?

One more doubt is regarding FingerPrint Scanner location U26 on PCB. This is absent on my board. Is it depopulated?. if yes, which Fingerprint Scanner should I use, and the Resistor Capacitor combination required for FP Scanner.
