OMAP-L138: When is ProcSDK available for OMAP L138 ?

Part Number: OMAP-L138
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, OMAP-L137

Hi,

I found OMAP L137 was supported on the latest ProcSDK release, but how about OMAP L138 ? Can you share the information about the release schedule for OMAPL138 ProcSDK (RTOS/Linux) ?

Best Regards,
Naoki

  • Hi Naoki,

Currently only Processor SDK (RTOS) is available for OMAP-L137. Our team does not have information for future sdk releases.

I'm looping the design team to elaborate. Their feedback will be posted directly here.

  • Hello, Yordan

Thanks for your reply. Ok, I`ll wait for your answers here.

So, I have an additional question. I could not find NDK example in current OMAPL 137 ProcSDK release. No NDK transport (NIMU) code exists at C:\ti\pdk_omapl13x_1_0_0\packages.
I tried to generate all example code by issuing the following commands:

    cd C:\ti\pdk_omapl13x_1_0_0\packages
    pdksetupenv.bat
    pdkProjectCreate.bat OMAPL137 all little all dsp C:\ti\pdk_omapl13x_1_0_0\packages

Some CCS example projects are generated at C:\ti\pdk_omapl13x_1_0_0\packages, but i could see NIMU example.
How should we suggest for new NDK users with OMAPL ?
Downloading NIMU (I believe NSP should be regarded as NIMU) separately from software-dl.ti.com/.../ is quite different manner from other ProcSDK scheme; For example, in C667x use case, NIMU implementation for C667x EVM exists in C667x PDK by default (C:\ti\pdk_c667x_2_0_5\packages\ti\transport\ndk\nimu).

  • Naoki-san,

OMAPL138 support in Processor SDK RTOS and Linux will be added to the release in the 2Q17 release at the end of the June.

Easiest way to receive an alert would be to go to Processor SDK Product folder on ti.com and subscribe to alerts as shown in the screenshot here:

    Hope this helps

  • Hi, Rahul

Sorry for my delayed response. I understood the release schedule. I would like you to consider having NIMU integration for EVM in the future release packages. Thanks for your consideration. That would help users for ease of use.

    Naoki
