Anyway to disable JTAG for OMAP-L138 to prevent user connect to processor?

Hi,

Do you have a JTAG header populated on your board? If you're int the process of designing your board you can skip the JTAG implementation on a hw level.

Hi Kovachev,

Thanks for our prompt replied.

Our final shipping product is without JTAG header.

Could you explain more detail what you mean skip the JTAG implementation on HW level? Do you mean disconnect all JTAG pins? I wonder even skip the JTAG implementation on a HW level, user still able to enable it if they want to.

Is there OMAP configuration to disable JTAG from SW?

Hi,

No way to stop the emulator on a sw level, except maybe trying to gat it's clock from the PSC, but that's all.
You can leave the JTAG pins unconnected when designing your board and threat them as specified in the Datasheet & the Schematic Checklist:

This way end users won't be able to use the JTAG.
