OMAP3 ISP CCDC, Resizer question on interlaced video

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TVP5151, DM3730

Hello,

In our application, we have a TVP5151 video decoder chip connected via parallel interface to the DM3730 Camera ISP. The TVP5151 captures analog NTSC interlaced video and streams it in BT.656. data format. I can configure the ISP pipeline for CCDC->Memory via media-ctl and get a de-interlaced image out at 720x480 resolution. I wish to take advantage of the ISP resizer to downscale the image on-the-fly to a lower resolution, 320x240. However, when I try to connect the CCDC directly to the Resizer, then out to memory, the image does get downscaled to 320x240, but it does not get de-interlaced. The odd field is shown in the upper portion followed by the even field below it. For either pipeline configuration CCDC->Memory or CCDC->RSZ->Memory, the CCDC SYNMODE register FLDMODE bit is being set, and the FLDSTAT bit is toggling on odd/even fields. My question is, is this a configuration/driver issue or is it not possible for the CCDC to send de-interlaced video directly to the resizer?

Thanks,

Chris
