Hi all and happy new year.
I have a project with a teacher : we want to make the e-con camera work on our omap3530 Evm, with a Linux OS, to use it with only open source softs. My teacher has bought an e-con32 omap35x camera and we have plugged it onto the card. We have used the TI-DVSDK to try many things. After 5 months, we have not succeeded to make the video capture yet. We have activated all the video driver (V4L-DVB), we seem to have all the code files, but it still doesn't work.
We have downloaded and read all the documents concerning the camera at this page : http://www.e-consystems.com/omapdoc.asp.
The one on which we are questioning is e-CAM32_OMAP35x_UserManual_1_00.pdf (the last document on the page, named e-CAM32_OMAP35x - Linux Software User Manual)
We have followed the instructions of the page 9/16, 6th point (Using the e-CAM32_OMAP35x Software package), but we cannot go further than this point :
« 6.2 Building the test application
Change the working directory to camera application source directory
Command: cd <path_of_camera_application_source_in_provided_by_e-consystems_in_the_development_computer> »
My question is : has someone ordered the same camera for his omap3530 and has he/she got a cd with a camera application source on it ? Because we are convinced with our teacher this is why we cannot make the camera work : we need the application source.
If someone has the source, can he/she sent us quickly ? because our deadline is soon. If not, we would be glad to know if someone encountered the same problem than us and if he/she solved it.
Regards and best wishes for 2013,
