Slow SD Card Writes and BADA Errors

Our SD Card write function is slow: 2 ms to 22 ms.  A related problem may be that BADA errors (on MMCHS_STAT) are reported on every write to MMCHS_DATA.  This does doesn't make sense because BWE=1 on MMCHS_PSTATE before the write.

Even though these errors are generated, the data is successfully written to the SD card.  However,  it takes 2 ms to 22 ms to get TC (trasnfer complete).

MMCHS_BLK BLEN is set to 0x200 (512).

    Hi Roland,

    Could you give more details about the board which you are using? Is it a custom board or some production board like BeagleBoard or EVM board? Also give details about software which you are using and where from it could be downloaded? About the SD Card write function - give some details what exactly do and how long execution time expect from it. Do you test the behavior with different SD cards?

    The answers of these questions could help to analyze the issue.
