I have been unable to find information on what the differences between TMS320C6202GJL250 and TMS320C6202GJL250X are.

TI-Asia were unable to help and suggested that the question is posted online.

Help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    Why do you ask?

This part, as you know, is NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs).

The answer for your purposes is probably "no difference", but it would be better to know "your purposes".

    Regards,
    RandyP

    Hi Randy,

TMS320C6202GJL250 is required on a legacy product we still manufacture for a customer.

As stated on ti.com, TMS320C6202GJL250 is still available for existing products, but NRND and alas - on long lead time.

For us to obtain approval from the customer to use of TMS320C6202GJL250X (ex-stock at Rochester), we need to provide information re the differences, regardless of how minor they may be.

    Thanks,
    Svetlana

Your sales office in TI-Asia is the right place to go. Sorry for the run-around, but I do not have that kind of sales/marketing information.

    With apologies,
    RandyP

    I found this:

The essential difference between the two parts is the XBUS speed (‘X’ denotes XBUS speed).  The GJL250X supports higher XBUS frequency of upto 250MHz, while the GJL250 supports 200 MHz XBUS frequency.  There are no differences in the timings etc.

    paul.
