I have troubles to connect from CCS 3.3 to TMS320DM6437 EVM board. I am using Blackhawk USB560BP JTAG emulator.
I think I didn't configure CCS properly for TMS320DM6437 EVM board or missing Blackhawk driver for this board.
When I was configuring CCS I didn't see DM6437 in available options, so I selected C64x+ board.
Can anyone explain how should I properly configure CCS for TMS320DM6437 EVM board?
Thanks
Greetings,
Try to import BH-USB560bp_DM643x.ccs in your CCS setup and add to it the GEL file.
Good Luck,
Sam
And is should look like this
Thank you for your response. I've succeeded to connect to EVM via JTAG as you described with some errors.
At the same time I found that for testing purpose I can connect to DM6437 EVM simply via mini USB without Blackhawk JTAG at all.
However when I tried to configure CCS to connect via mini USB I've found that I don't have DM6437USB emulator in the list of available configurations.
Could you advise how should I configure CCS to connect to DM6437 EVM via mini USB port.
P.S. I suspect that all my problems are because I don't have installation CD which should come with DM6437 EVM. That CD was lost.
I however downloaded everything related to DM6437 EVM from web site of Spectrum Digital.
Attempt the same steps in the setup of CCS but use this "evmdm6437.ccs" in the import and see if it is installed in your CCS by SD installer.
And it should look like this
Thank you for your response.
Could you also explain what is purpose of intermediate nodes ICEPICK_C_0 (router) and DSP (subpath)?
Why I should leave Gel file field empty for router ICEPICK_C_0 ?
Thank you
Since all new TI devices now have control and CPUs, this is part of the JTAG/Boundary scan path setup. It does not require a GEL to control it.
