RTOS/TMS320C6748: C6000 DSP JTAG EMU0 EMU1 pin connection

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Dear all,

In our project we use TMS320C6678 DSP and the device is in a closed box. We want to have access to JTAG connection to the device but unfortunately we don't have enough pins on our wall mount connector. For us the only way is to use one EMU pin for EMU0 and EMU1. Is it possible to use EMU pins as below for C6000?

  • Hi,

No you can't use such connection. Both EMU0 & EMU1 need to be connected in order to have a functional emulator.

    Best Regards,
    Yordan

    Murat,

Are you using the C6748 or the C6678? You list each more than once in your title, text, and tags.

Since the EMU0/1 pins can be driven from either the C6000 side or the emulator side, these pins must not be tied together on either side.

    Regards,
    RandyP
