C6455 RapidIO Multicast

Does C6455 support RapidIO multicast mode? For C6478, in PER_SET_CNTRL register, the 27 bit "LOG_TGT_ID_DIS" use to enable multicast or not. However, I cannot find this bit in C6455. Can anyone tell me whether C6455 support multicast mode?

Hi Xining,

Yes, the C6455 does support multicast mode. The LOG_TGT_ID_DIS bit is in the same bit 27 location of the PER_SET_CNTRL register. You can reference this in the SRIO UG for C645x devices (http://www.ti.com/lit/spru976).

First, I cannot the link you listed. Second, according to the SRIO user guide from your company's website, 31-27 bit are reserved in PER_SET_CNTL register for C6455.

Not sure why that link did not work for you, but it takes you to the C645x SRIO user guide, which you referenced. Take a look at section 2.3.15 RX Multicast and Multiple DESTID Support, specifically table 31.
