C6416T DSK USB diagnostics fail

I know this is an old problem but I've followed most of the other questions and they didn't really help.

Here's the deal:

I'm running a 64 bit Probook 4330 on Windows 8 and each time I run the diagnostic tool I get an error message saying USB diagnostic fail,Device manager says the drivers for the kit are not installed but I can't find he drivers anywhere.

So here's my question,is the CCSv3.1 compatible with Windows 8?and if not then how do I go about solving the problem?I need this kit to implement a DSP radio,at the moment I don't even know where to start since code composer isn't even working,will I need to get another version of CCS?

The Operating System Requirements for CCV3.1 is

Windows 2000

Windows XP

Windows Vista**

Ok so If I download the newer versions that support Windows 8,will they work on C6416T?

cause this v3.1 version specifically works for this C6416T kit

Hi Siyom xolo,

It is always better to use the latest version of CCS. The CCSv6 supports windows 8. Using CCSv6, you can import projects of C6416T using "Import legacy CCSv3.3 project" and use it.
