Hi! I'm using DSK 6416, I need send digital signal, I used the GPIO but I need more pins.

One university professor, said that i can use HPI for send high or low intensity levels, How can I do?

Also, other professor said me, I can buy some daughter board/daughter card(i don't know if they have any difference) for have more GPIO, but i can't found it, where I can found this daughter board/daughter card?

Hi Alex,

C6416 processor supports 16 GPIO pins.

How many GPIO had you used and still how many required for you ?

Did you able to access the full 16 GPIO pins ?

Some of the GPIOs are muxed with HPI and PCI peripherals.

The C6416 device support maximum of 16 GPIOs only and you cannot use HPI pins as GPIO.

You can use I2C/SPI to GPIO expander for getting more GPIOs in your design. I am not aware of the daughter card that you are talking about. However i guess it should have a device like I2C/SPI to GPIO expander.
