You might not need the UBL. You could use AIS NOR Boot mode. The ROM Bootloader will load your appplication from NOR flash to RAM and jump to it.

I rebuild the ubl project for dsp ,but there are some mistacks about instruction .such as:[E0800]:Instruction invalid for C6700, DINT and CALLP

You might have the wrong StarterWare package. Shankari G noted this one:

The StarterWare bootloader is for StarterWare applications and the bootloader does not support NOR. Not sure if you really need a bootloader.

I am guessing that the "Secondary Bootloaders on OMAP-L1x" Wiki page is general instructions of building your own Legacy NOR UBL. No actual UBL source code exists.

Another way to program your application for standalone execution is to:

1) Build your application to "your_app.out".
2) Use AISGEN to convert "your_app.out" to "your_app.bin".
3) Set the boot mode to emulation debug.
4) Use the NORWriter project to program "your_app.bin" into NOR flash via CCS/JTAG.
5) Set the boot mode to NOR.
6) Power cycle.

You might have to modify NORWriter to write the "NOR Boot Configuration Word" before writing the AIS file. Not sure if AISGEN does this or NORWriter does this.

Thank U.I just want to flash my app.out to the nor flash device and it should be start up form the nor flash when power on.

I have modify NORWriter and flash my ais file to my board.But it takes a few minutes to read ais(about 50k) file to ddr2 on my board.The NORWrite runs in L2 with heap size 0x800 .I also used XDS100V2.Why does it take a long time ?

Are you saying NORWriter take a long time to load or are you saying NORWriter takes a long time to program your application to NOR flash? The NORWriter project should be fairly small and load in less than a minute. All the flash writer projects use the JTAG interface to transfer over the image. The JTAG interface is inherently slow. Add the flash programming time and it can take few times longer. My experience is with the SPI writer and I takes me several minutes to program an image.
