CCS/TMS320C6746: Question about "Reset target Processor via JTAG Emulator"

Hi there

I have a question about a way that reset target processor via JTAG Emulator

First of all, i made a custom board with TMS320C6746

But there was a mistake about POR(Power On Reset) Generation circuit

(the reset pin of TMS320C6746 and Vdd 3.3 V of TMS320C6746 are connected,

but i can not modify the wiring because it mounted on board already)

So, i can not launch my own frimware or example firmware

what if there is a way that reset target processor via JTAG Emulator,

maybe i think i could launch my own firmware

what do you think?

do you have any idea?

    Please apologize for the delay in this reply. Are you still having this issue?

    I see this seems to be related to the other thread you posted and I just replied. Can you check the suggestions there and see if you can workaround the problems with the Reset and power lines?

    The JTAG and the CCS IDE are able to issue a Reset, but only with the device properly connected and powered. In your case, the inability to connect to the device due to the improper power will not allow the JTAG debugger to issue the desired reset.

    I would check the C674x device datasheet to find ways to issue resets by physical means. Section 6 of the datasheet below covers a few of these scenarios:

    Given the issues you are having seem to be of HW nature, I will move this post to the device forum so the experts can provide additional tips to further debug your system.
