TMS320C6748: L2 as a cache and RAM

Hello,

In TRM of C6748 it is mentioned that L2 memory can be used as a cache as well as RAM.

So if I configure L2 (total 256KB), as a cache for 128KB and remaining 128KB as a RAM, then which region will be cached and which will be used as a RAM? Is this possible, or L2 can not be used as a cache or RAM at a time.

L2 starts at 0x11800000.

From my understanding, You can configure L2 memory as cache for 128KB and RAM for 128KB. You can partition the memory space equally and configure in either way.

When you configure L2 as part cache as you have described then the top 128 KB of the L2 memory will be used as cache. RAM will start at 0x11800000.
