TMS320C6748: PLL Lock time

Part Number: TMS320C6748

The PLL lock time formula in below table, Does the N denote Ratio+1 in PREDIV register, M denotes PLLM+1 in PLLM register? or Just N=Ratio, M=PLLM?

  • Hi Tony,

I've forwarded this to the HW design experts. Their feedback should be posted here.

For the table you reference it just N= Ration and M= PLLM , so the "final" values.
This can also be deduced by say min/ max value where from a PLLM register value perspective it will be 0 or 31, but for the table 5-4 shown it will translate to 1 or 32 as the N,M values.

    Hope this is clear.
Let me know if you have any further questions/confusion on this.
