hello,

I am planning to use the 320C6713 DSP kit for an application that requires measuring a ±10V signal at 16 bit resolution and greater than 200kSPS,  processing it and generating the corresponding  analog output with the same specifications. I want to do this by putting ADS8556 and DAC7741 EVMs  on a 5-6K interface board and connecting it to the DSP kit.

My only problem is that  I am new to the DSP kit and dont have any example code to get started with. Are there any example codes that use either of these EVMs? If not any examples for the AD85xx series will be great since most of these match my requirements.

Best regards,

                         Umar Khan.

    Umar,

Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages. Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics.

    Two suggestions for you:

    1. The installation from the DSK6713 CD includes Chip Support Library (CSL) and Board Support Library (BSL) files. Since the DSK has some ADC and DAC devices, the BSL includes APIs to drive those and example projects to use those. Source code is included. If you do not have that CD, please check with Spectrum Digital Support to find that target content.

    2. Go to the TI Wiki Pages and search for "c6713 training" (no quotes). The old C6x1x training class material is posted to the TI Wiki Pages. It includes information that you need as someone new to this DSP kit, and it includes audio examples that will be good starter code for your project.

    Regards,
    RandyP
