C6748 development kit (LCDK)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had bought a C6748 development kit (LCDK) from DigiKey recently, but I haven't purchased an emulator.

Could I still run any demonstration on the development kit without any other optional hardware?

In addition, I want to ask how can I get the schematics and PCB layout of the development kit?

Information about the capabilities of the C6748 LCDK is available from the LCDK product folder.

This includes the schematic and PCB layout databases.

You will need an emulator as the LCDK does not include an on-board emulator.

Thanks for your reply.

I also got the information from TI webpage that "The LCDK does not have an onboard emulator. An external emulator from TI (such as the XDS100, XDS200, XDS510, XDS560) or a third-party will be required to start development."

Could you please help to describe the main difference between these 4 emulators? Because the price varies a lots.

I would suggest reviwing the information found on the processors.wiki.ti.com site on Emulation technology.

The main differences are capabilities, speed vs. price.

Hello !!

I'm new in this forum. I have many questions about the EVM C6748. I think taht this DSP can do video processing. T would make this application :

Analog caméra ==> ADC ===> DSP C6748 ====> DAC ===> LCD SCREEN

I think taht we have a guide to get starting that mean we have some programs that run in the DSP or we need to create the projet to do video processing?
