Hello

Im Using a DSP(TMS320C6713 DSK)-FPGA combination to control a machine. the interface is made through the J4 memory expansion port so the DSP see the FPGA as an External memory . but i dont know how to increase the speed of read and write over 2.5 KHZ can any body give me any advise please?

Which interface are you using for memory transfers between DSP and FPGA (ie EMIF or EDMA ) ?

How you are measuring the throughput between DSP and FPGA (read & write ) ?

Hello

Thanks for responding

Im using EMIF and im measuring the the speed by watching the read or write enable signal (the signal produced by the DSP) on the oscilloscope.

Hi,

What is your core operating frequency and EMIF frequency?

Also, I would to like suggest to enable EDMA to get more speed of transfers.
