Lyrtech PADK

Hello  everyone,

during my bachelor thesis I'm planning on implementing some code on the Lyrtech PADK (Professional Audio Development Kit).

The problem is this: It seems as the original documents and drivers (I guess there's a CD that belongs to the board) for the development kit are not existing in our university (they got lost I think) anymore. Since the company Lyrtech is no longer in buisiness, I'm having some problems getting these things.

So here's my question: Do you have any idea how I can get these things or does anyone even has these files and can provide me with them.

I'm grateful for any help

  • Dennis,

The files are available on the website of the company that took over for Lyrtech, but I do not remember their name. I just remember this issue coming up before.

Please search this C67x Single Core Forum for Lyrtech and maybe for PADK or C6727 to try to find a prior discussion on this new website. Maybe use 'schematic', too, since I think someone was looking for a schematic for it in particular.

If you cannot find it, come back here and see if someone else can do the search and find the files or links for you. I know they are still out there.

    Regards,
    RandyP

  • Hi Dennis,

As per Randy's references above for search in c67x E2E forum, i found two search items which i believe, it would be helpful for you:

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c6000_high_performance_dsps/f/115/p/52639/676546.aspx#676546

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c6000_high_performance_dsps/f/115/t/86514.aspx

Please check the above E2E links.

    Thanks & regards,

  • Hello,

I think the company who took over Lyrtech is Nutaq. I searched on their site but found nothing. I also tried to get in touch with them but got no answer.

I also searched the forum but nothing there. There where a few posts that were referencing to the Lyrtech website but nothing that could help me.

    Thanks anyway

  • Dennis,

If at all possible, I would recommend moving to a newer and probably more capable device like the C6747 or C6748. I prefer the C6748, but there are tradeoffs such as the C6747 uses the older SDRAM interface instead of the C6748's DDR2 interface, and the C6747 may have more McASP ports available. They are the same basic device as each other with a different set of peripherals.

If you still need to stay with the C6727B PADK, please see if the files are available to you at this ftp site:

    ftp://ftp2.lyrtech.com/

    Regards,
    RandyP
