ethernet test modes

Hey,


Does the C6748 include support for ethernet test modes 1 to 4? If so, how do I invoke them? I would like to be able to test my device using hte C6748 for 10/100 ethernet standard compliance.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

    Yes, it is possible to test ethernet PHY on C6748 device, but you need to integrate NDK in to your existing project on your own hardware. The software setup you need to maintain are as follows:

    • CCS 5.1
    • DSP/BIOS 5.41.10.36
    • NDK 2.20.03.24
    • NSP 1.00.00.09
    • XDCTOOLS 3.20.08.88

    You could install the NDK & NSP's from the below download page:

    http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/ndk/index.html

    Also, you could check NDK sample examples to test the ethernet PHY and also, you need a ethernet packet analyzer/generator to test ethernet packets or some other setup to run on your hardware.
