What is the difference between TMS320C6748, EVMC6748 and LCDKC6748?
What does EVM and LCD?

    EVM= Evaluation Module.
    LCDK= Low cost Development Kit.

    Hello,

    What is the difference between TMS320C6748, EVMC6748 and LCDKC6748?

    The TMS320C6748 is a DSP SoC, EVMC6748 is an evaluation module with more features, LCDKC6748 is a low cost development kit.

    At present, EVM is not available to procure, but you can purchase LCDK. The below link would be very useful to know abour C6748 LCDK in detail.

    I created an application and I have run through the simulator in CCS v5.5.0

    Now I want to buy the actual hardware, to integrate that application code into the device.

    So, only I need the TMS320C6748 device?

    If I buy the device TMS320C6748EZCE3 for example, I will connect this device with CCS using my computer and run the code directly on the device TMS320C6748EZCE3?


    The device TMS320C6748EZCE3 is full board (CPU + memory + ...)?

    Sorry, I'm new at this, and picture TMS320C6748EZCE3 device is only one black rectangle, it isn´t a picture of the device.

    EZCE3 means the specifics of the device TMS320C6748?

    You cannot run your code on the C6748 device alone, you need to have associated circuitry to operate the device. Either you need to have EVM/LCDK or a custom board. If you are not aware of the hardware architecture, please refer complete collateral's of  the device like datasheet, TRM, hardware design guide wiki etc.,

    Yes, you can debug or run your code in C6748 device using CCS.

    The TMS320C6748EZCE3 is a SoC part only and it is not a full board. You could find the complete part number details in section 7.1.2 Device Nomenclature in the device data manual.
