Hi all,

I want to buy TMS320C6713 DSP Starter Kit (DSK)ı've told but since TMS320C6713 dsp is obsolete now this product is no longer available. Is there a starter kit for TMS320C6713b dsp or could ı buy TMS320C6713 DSP Starter Kit (DSK) just saying include TMS320C6713b dsp? Or could you suggest me similar starter kit?

    If you are buying a new DSK, I would highly recommend you go with a newer DSP. Please consider the TMS320C6748 or TMS320C6657. Under Tools & Software, you will find the C6748's LCDK ($195) and the C6657's EVM ($399).

    The C6748 has one C674x DSP core that runs at 456MHz, although it is possible the LCDK has slower silicon - check to be sure - but it is much faster and a much more advanced DSP core than the C6713. The LCDK has a lot of common peripherals.

    The C6657 has two C66x DSP cores that run at 1GHz! It may not have as many peripherals supported directly with CODECs but you can get to those pins with expansion connectors in most cases. For DSP functionality, it is more than 4x the performance of the LCDK for only 2x the price.

    The DSK6713 costs more than either of those and only runs at 225MHz. It will most likely have the C6713B on it, so no problem there. I recommend you contact the manufacturer to be sure about that.

    CCSv6 can be used at no charge for licensing when used with the on-board emulator of any of these boards.

    Thanks for your answer.

    I want to reimplement some models for GPS receiver to the C6713B starter kit. Since I am not experienced about DSPs and to be sure can ı use the other kits you recommend as a replacement? Or what parameters I should compare?

    Compare the peripherals that you need with the peripherals that are available.

    What makes you sure you can use the C6713B DSK for your GPS receiver?

    Your meaning of 'reimplement' can be interpreted in more than one way, so I do not know what you are moving from and moving to.
