about the xds100v3

ICEPICK_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -233 @ 0x0) The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken. An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed. The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault. (Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

when i use my xds100v3 to download the program, it gives this problem, what will make this happen? i have find some message here:https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/p/180790/653247, but it doesn't said how can solve this problem. please help us.

  • Already you were able to use this XDS100v3 emulator on your board and getting this issue now ?
First time you encountered this issue on your board ?
Some times, you are able to solve this issue when you enable adaptive clocking and slower down the JTAG clock (1MHz)
So just try and see if this helps.
  • 1.About the first two question is yes and yes.
2.And what is adaptive clocking ?how to slower down the jtag clock? my dsp is c6748 and the ide is ccs5.5

    3.my ccs config like this  , i think it is 1mhz already。

4.is it possibale that just the jtag pins have problem on the dsp but the other functions is good? because before this problem i have download a program in it, it use spi module and gpio, and it is still work. just can't download program to the chip, every time this problem come out...

    5. this is the log when i test connect to my target:

    [Start]

    Execute the command:

    %ccs_base%/common/uscif/dbgjtag -f %boarddatafile% -rv -o -F inform,logfile=yes -S pathlength -S integrity

This utility has successfully reset the controller.

    -----[Print the reset-command hardware log-file]-----------------------------

The scan-path will be reset by toggling the JTAG TRST signal.
The controller is the FTDI FT2232 with USB interface.
The link from controller to target is direct (without cable).
The software is configured for FTDI FT2232 features.
The controller cannot monitor the value on the EMU[0] pin.
The controller cannot monitor the value on the EMU[1] pin.

    The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN'.

    The explanation is:
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
    with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.
