I am reading the c6000 architecture.I encounterd with some terminology ,i.e

Data packing/Unpacking

branches

5- bit Constant Generation

Rotation

Bit interleaving/De-interleaving

Bit expansion

These are different operations performed by functional units of c6000

Kindly, explain the above mentioned operations.

Please provide in what context did you encounter these? Articles in processors wiki, some user guides, example TI source code or something else?

Hi,

Please get familiar with fixed point and floating point arithmetics and what is each of them good for (which kind of algorithms, signal processing etc..) this will answer your question: advantages ,disadvantages of fixed and floating point dsp processor.

This is a generic information that can be found through a simple google search.
