I am looking at the possibility of porting the Google Android OS to the AM1705.  Is it currently a possibility?  May be a stupid question but I have not seen any information on a specific port to the AM1705.  Thank you.

    Hi Darrell,

At present we do not have any plan to port on AM1705.

However you can refer to the release for AM1808 ( ARM9 based). This will be easy to port on AM1705.

    UserGuide:

    Source:

    section :

Downloading the AM1808EVM Android Froyo(Rowboat) sources

If you face any problem while porting on AM1705, open to put your queries on forum.

Thanks for your reply.  I have one hangup however.  The AM1705 does not have a built in LCD Controller.  Are there any Applications Notes or any Bulletins concerning how to implement driving an Graphical LCD Display with the AM1705, using either the GPIO Ports or one of the memory ports perhaps.  Any pointers will be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Darrell

    Hi Darrell,

At present there is not such documentation available for the same.

However if you can follow below link to get linux SDK and display driver. You can take the reference to implemented display driver to implement driver for your LCD.

I hope it will help your development.
