But repo init is throwing the below error. I installed repo as in the above link,

but still getting this issue. Please help me resolve this. If this is not the right forum,

Have you installed all the dependencies as listed on the AOSP site http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html

    Hi,

I have tried the repo init command from http://omapedia.org/wiki/4AI.1.2_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Release_Notes and it seems to be working fine without any issues.

As per your log  below, it seems like your repo file has more lines than the one I am using. ~/bin/repo file has 685 lines as opposed to 690 lines in your case.

fatal: just how do you expect me to merge 0 trees?
    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "/home/user1/bin/repo", line 690, in <module>
main(sys.argv[1:])                                                                        --- THIS IS THE LAST LINE FOR ME At Line Number 685 under ~/bin/repo
File "/home/user1/bin/repo", line 682, in main
        os.execv(main, me)

Could you please post the contents of your repo file for further cross check to see if it provides any differences?

    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,

Please find my repo file attached. The last line is same for me too, but it is at line number 690.

I am sure the issue is with my particular system, but unable to figure out what the issue is.

I have installed all the packages required, but still it persists. Please help me figure out what might be missing.

Thank you for your precious time.

    Hi,

There are some minor differences as the versions are different. My repo file is having Version 13 as opposed to Version 14 for you.

Can you try using the Version 13 repo file attached below and check if it resolves the issue?

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Venkat

Could you delete the .repo/ directory and try 'repo init' and 'repo sync' again?

    Perhaps something got corrupted here.

I did delete the .repo folder. No help either.

The problem is with repo init command. So repo sync doesn't happen at all.

    Aadishri
