Beagleboard-xm DM37x Android 4.0.3 (ICS) where video doesn't play properly or plays with flicker when mouse moves over the video.

Dear All

Good Morning !

What i am doing:

I  have change the resolution of the display to 1280 X 720 on Android 4.0.3 in boot.scr file and it works fine.

when i move the mouse over the video which i play from "www.youtube.com" the video stops or pause for that particular time  and then it plays.

Platform: Android 4.0.3

Hardware: Beagleboard-xm DM37x.

What i want:

How to remove the flickering effect of video which stops or pause, when we move the mouse over the video which is playing from "www.youtube.com".

if any DSP drivers required please let us know or guide us the solution to enable the DSP drivers on the board so that picture runs without any  stop and pause effects when mouse is moved on video.

Regards

Aslam

  • Hi Aslam,

Could you check to eliminated pointer on media size & quality

    1. Play media file from SD card - whether it is flickering or not ?

    2. Are you playing HD video from youtube ? Could you try to play some other medias with lower resoultion?

    3. What do you see in logcat ???

  • hi Aslam

i am  stuck with the same kind of problem.

while playing video from www.youtube.com i am able to listen audio but not able to see video.

from logcat i saw this error

E/libEGL : call to OpenGL ES API with no current context (logged once per thread)
