Power Management on Beagleboard-xm running TI Android ICS

Dear all,

We are now experimenting with Beagleboard-xm with Android. We have successfully brought up Android on Beagleboard-XM.

We are trying to do a couple of experiments with power management on beagleboard-xm.

For board bring up we referred this document "http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI-Android-ICS-4.0.3-DevKit-3.0.0_DevelopersGuide#Using_Pre-Packaged_Sources" and build kernel image, rootfs and all other required packages as per the document.

For conducting static power management experiments in beagle board-xm, we mounted the debugfs to /system/kernel/debug folder.

And when we the checked the directory "<mount point>/pm_debug/voltage_off_while_idle" file was missing.

Could you please tell as why this file is missing under this directory.

And if there is any way to include this file to debugfs?

Thanks,

  • Hi,

The Android ICS 4.0.3 release is old and no longer maintained or supported. Only the latest JB 4.2.2 release is supported on BeagleBone Black and other AM335x platforms. Sorry  for the inconvenience. 3rd parties may be able to offer the support that you need.

    Regards,
