Moving this to the Android forum.
Hi Hardik,
The Gingerbread 2.3.4 release is old and no longer maintained or supported. Only the latest JB 4.2.2 release is supported on AM335x platforms. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you Adeneo Embedded support team..
can you suggest for JB 4.2.2 release.....
Hi Hardik,
could you be a bit more specific regarding the task you are trying to achieve?
- What kind of driver do you want to add?
- Are you looking for information on linux driver development?
- Are you looking for information on how to integrate your existing driver?
- Are you looking for information on AOSP libhardware?
ya ...I want to integrate my existing driver....so suggest me a common document that provide proper info on how can i do that?
Hi Hardik,
As you haven't specified what kind of driver is to be integrated it is assumed this is standard char driver.
In that case there is nothing specific to Android but is only about kernel development.
Therefore we suggest you look at the kernel documentation provided inside your kernel tree:
The first link will explain how to build a kernel module out of tree whereas the second document explains how to create your own makefile for the driver to be in the tree.
Hi Hardik,
Sorry for the inconvenience, here are the links again:
Those document should also be located under the Documentation folder in the kernel tree.
