Hi,

How to support dual ethernet ports on AM3517 EVM under Android Devkit-V2?

I tried in menuconfig and selected "SMSC LAN911x/LAN921x families embedded ethernet support" [I want to use SMSC LAN9311 on the application board] besides the EMAC inside AM3517 chip. After boot up Android, I tried "ifconfig eth1", but it reported "No Such Device". (eth0 is ok.)

Thanks for comments on how to enable a 2nd ethernet port.

Br, Jianjun

    Hi,

As far as I know the 2nd ethernet port isn't currently supported.

I don't have experience with Android but the SMSC driver you tried need some modification to work with lan9311, also you need to set the right chip select and irq in the parameter passed to the driver.

    Regards,

    Alberto
