The DM814x supports IEEE 802.1Qav (well - Draft 6.0 says the TRM). Is there a Linux driver planned for this feature?. If not will the functionality be documented at a register level?
thanks

Hi Stephen,
We do not have plans on the moment about describing the implementation at a register level. We are aware of a thrid party that might be able to help. Please let me know if this route is something you might be interested in.

We would still like to write our own 802.1Qav driver for the DM814x. Has anything changed as far as releasing documentation on the registers?.
thanks

Hi ,
I am also trying to write code that can shape the traffic according to packet priority and i am going to use Rate Limiting mode of DM8148. AFAIK it is the same as ieee 802.1Qav that also shape the traffic according to priority of Packet. Am i going in right direction? plz suggest me .
From what I have seen on this forum and people I have talked to at TI, there are no plans to support 802.1Qav anymore.
This is sad and very misleading as Qav has been described in the TRM for a while now. All references to it need to be removed, if no software support or documentation is planned.
Unfortunately , this is not the TI I am used to........

Hi Stephen
Can yo tell me something about rate limiting mode ? can't we use this for Qav support?
HI Stephen,
Can you tell me something about CPDMA_RX_CH_MAP and CPDMA_TX_PRI_MAP registers in DM8148 processor. I am trying to use these register in my Qav implementatin but i am not getting how these register to be used. is it enough to configure these register according to our need or we have to do something else to store packets according to their priority?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I am using Vayu EVM xc577x Rev G booted with GLSDK 7.0.
Is there any linux driver supporting 802.1 Qav FQTSS for this board?

Hi,
Whether TI AR7 ethernet driver (CPMAC) having Hardware Queuing (802.1Q FQTSS) support or we need to write our own 802.1Qav linux driver?
Hello Mythi,
All AVBTP systems shall support the following standards
