CAN support in U-boot

I'm sorry, but U-Boot 2013.10 doesn't have CAN support, nor there is any available code.

The best document about the AM335x CAN bus is the AM335x Technical Reference Manual.

Thanks for the support.  Does the CAN support is available for any other versions of U-boot ?

If yes, Please let me know the version. if not, please let me know  CAN support for any other TI's application processor like  omap. So that, we can refer the code for development.

I'm not aware if there is a CAN driver in U-Boot at all. There have been some attempts (links below), but the code had never made it to the mainline.

StarterWare for the AM335x has DCAN code. StarterWare is bare-metal which make it a little easier to port to u-boot. However, it is TI code and it has a lot CCS dependencies making the porting effort greater.

I noticed that you have started a new post with that question. Follow Frank Walzer's response in the other thread. A bit more detail would help. What is your development environment? For the CCSv5, the docs wil eventually point you this TI Wiki page:

The most confusing aspect of StarterWare is that everything is spread out into many different directories. Much of the code is pre-compiled into libraries using separate projects. Porting the code will require you to chase down all the bits of code from separate projects/directories.

I able to port Startware DCAN driver to U-boot . I was compiled and even executed. But because of interrupts support is not available in the U-boot, I am not able to send the messages. So could please help how to do DCAN message transfer in Polling Mode ( Without the interrupts).

Please let me know how to configure the Transmit message objects and receive message objects in FIFO mode. How to enable the DMA for DCAN module.

I have never used this processor or it's CAN controller. Please start a new thread about your new problems. The FIFO thing might be possible but I have doubts about DMA in u-boot. DMA requires a rather large library of code. Something that u-boot tries to avoid. Hopefully some AM335x experts will reply here or your new thread. Good luck.
