Hi,
I'm currently usign a Smart Data Concentrator EVM (TMDSDC3359). The board processor is an AM 335x ARM Cortex A8. TI provides a SD Card with the kernel Image. I follow the Quick Start Guide in order to boot the board under my host machine. I'm using PuTTy to display terminal console messages. I've programmed a CC2530 with a very basic program which sends via UART 0 ALT 1 (in CC2530) a message ("Hola") all the time. I follow the Smart Data Concentrator Hardware/Software Manual in order to configure my board. I take care that GPIO0[12] is set low in order to map CC1 Pins to UART1 of the Cortex.
I plug my daughtercard (CC2530) into the CC1 connector and turn off the board. I follow the U Boot and Kernel Messages and see one that says something like: "No daughtercard found". Then I login into the console and look for the /dev directory. I look all the devices which are in the board via command ls. I have know from U Boot and Kernel messages that UART1 is tty01, UART 2 tty02, and so on.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I TRY TO GET SOMETHING FROM tty01, USING cat tty01 (under dev directory), IT APPEARS A MESSAGE WHICH SAYS: NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY. EVEN MORE, WHEN I TRY TO LIST tty0* devices, using ls -l tty0* it doesn't appear. PLEASE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, OR WHAT TO READ IN ORDER TO GET THE UART MESSAGES THAT I SEND FROM THE CC2530 DAUGHTERCARD. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I'M TRYING TO GET SPI FROM CC2530.
Thanks for your help,
Julian
