Hello,

I'm doing boot on UART , I already done that in the past with success, but now it acts differently

I would like to ask what is the meaning of "Reset button" below. When I reset the board I get "CC.." again.
I will appreciate your fast response,

Note
The release package does not contain the binary for UART boot. Please follow the steps mentioned
#U-Boot_UART_support for UART boot for compiling u-boot.min.uart
1. Switch ON EVM with switch settings for UART boot. When “CCCC” characters appear on TeraTerm window,
from the File Menu select Transfer --> XMODEM --> Send (1K mode)
2. Select “u-boot.min.uart” for the transfer
3. Press "Reset button" to initiate image download
4. After image is successfully downloaded, the ROM code will boot it.
5. Hit enter and get to u-boot prompt “TI-MIN#

Hi Ran S,

Would you please mention the name of the package in which those steps are mentioned. As well, please mention the name of the processor/board you use.

In general, reset button means resetting the board only.

On the DM814x EVM, this is the "RESET" button, SW9.

Hi,

I'm working with custom board with DM8148, and trying to boot from uart, but the 1st stage get hangs after "CCC.."
I have following instuction in

inorder to skip ddr config, but it still hangs.

I also tried this with EVM8148 (evaluation board), and got same results!
Is there something missing with that instructions?

What else should I try ?
How can I reduce DDR frequency ?

Why there is no printing at all ? Can I add printing ?
