Inter processor communication on arm and dsp

Hi have 2 chips, TI Sitara AM3352 & TI TMS320C6746 on the same custom board. I have to establish communication b/w both the processor.

TMS320C6746(dsp) through its HPI port, it is connected to AM3352 GPMC controller. Can i use syslink or IPC 3x for the communication ?

For this mixed ARM+DSP solution, you have to modify the IPC3.x package released for OMAPL138.

SYSLINK supports only for inbuilt slave processor by its own shared processor.

IPC 3.x does not support for your C6746 processor but it does OMAPL138.

Hi,

But, my both processors(am3352 and dsp c6746) have there own ddr (RAM's). So my question is how will IPC be able to communicate.

My arm to dsp connectivity is gpmc to hpi interface.

Chaitanya,

Unfortunately, IPC 3.x does not support your custom board setup. I think the quickest solution is for you to write your own IPC layer for communicating between your devices.

In the future, we might be able to provide a porting kit for writing your own device driver and plug that into the IPC API stack. But we currently do not have this.
