How to uninstall the linux kernel module

Hi Experts,

how to uninstall the kernel module from the /lib/modules path generically ?

I tried manually deleting the .ko file but it is throwing error prints "Error sample.ko Module not found " during each of the bootup.

Also I tried adding it to the blacklist.conf as well but not worked. I am using AM335x EVMSK.

Try "depmod -a" on the target. This should update the modules.dep file so that it does not have nay references to your deleted module files. Assumes that you are not using a ramdisk.

Hi,
In a Linux kernel module include with insmod <patck>module_name.ko or
modprobe <patck>module_name.ko
and this module you can remove with command:
rmmode module_name.ko

With lsmod you can see all running modules.
