I'm trying to interrupt the u-boot on dm3730 in order to get the u-boot command line with no luck.
im running minicom on /dev/ttyS0 (or 1,2,3).
how do i make it work?

You should press a key during booting and see the following message:
Hit any key to stop autoboot:
But before that you should have run correctly configured minicom but the configuration could varies depending on the environment (UART connection to the PC, software and the board type in some extend). In some cases when the PC use USB to UART adapter the minicom configuration is /dev/ttyUSB0.

Hello,
When you use a USB to serial the /dev/ttyUSBX node is created, so you need to tell minicom about it,
just type in 'minicom -s' traverse to "Serial Port setup" select option A edit it and save it.

when i run putty in a windows terminal i can read the data,
but when i run it in ubuntu (or minicom) this is what i get:

the terminal doesn't accept any key-press while loading.
