Hi,

I'm loading a 16bit bootlogo.bmp on system boot but the colors are all wrong,

the LCD is 24bit and on boot it works on 16bit mode cause i cant get it to work on 24bit.(when the kernel loads i reconfigure it to 24bit and everything works fine).

If set to 24bit with 24bit bootlogo then nothing is displayed.

the board is DM3730.

any help is appreciated.

Hi shlomi,

Look into the u-boot source code and check which mode is configured for LCD. Whether 16 bit mode or 24 bit mode.
Try modifying the u-boot source code to support 24 bit mode for the LCD.

thanks for replying,

when i set lcd.c and logic.c to 24bit and try to load the 24 bit image,

u-boot says:

Error: 32 bit/pixel mode, but BMP has 24 bit/pixel.

are there any other files i have to change maybe?

i got over this problem but the displayed image is red only and totally corrupted,

help anyone?

Hi Shlomi,

I think, the mismatch may be due to using the BMP file whose format is 24bit/pixel.

Just check the properties of the BMP file ( i.e. your logo file) .... I guess it is saved as a 24 bit/ pixel file.
Just for experiment, just try with a logo file which is saved as a 32 bit/pixel BMP format.
