I want to use OMAP timers with Linux, Is there any example for this ?
I've searched, but did not found any.
Thank you,
Ran

Hello Ran,
In addition to Titus' post, I suggest you taking a look on the wiki - http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/Timer
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/Documentation/devicetree/bindings/arm/omap/timer.txt

Best regards,
Yanko
Hi Titus, Yanko,
Thank you for the information source.
Yet, I seem to be missing the understanding of how to use these HW timers.
1. Does anyone knows what is the difference between the GT timer to DM timer. It seems that there are 2 interfaces, and that the GP timer uses DMtimers.
2. If I build some kernel module which uses HW timers, should I use the dmtimers interface or better use GP timers ?
Thank you,
Ran
