Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Enable Debug symbols for u-boot and kernel

1. Need to enable debug symbols for u-boot v2017.09 and kernel am33x-v4.12 for Beagle Bone Black. What is needed to enable symbols? Need for CCS and just for general debugging.

2. Need to enable DEBUG in u-boot. Is the correct place to do this is to modify config.mk LDFLAGS := -DDEBUG? Or, what is needed?

3. Enable Debug print messages in the kernel, what are levels 8-15 debug levels when menuconfig configures debug?

Enabling symbols for kernel are kernel config options. www.kernel.org/.../CompilingAKernel.html

How do we compile u-boot for source level debugging in CCS before and after u-boot relocation? Need to compile with symbols and do source level debugging of uboot prior to relocation using JTAG.

Finally, what are the additional debug levels in the mainline kernel, levels 8-15?
